Can you manually delete? Does it even detect it?

Can symantec antivirus detect the file as a virus?

Run threat analysis scan in system and submit report to symantec.

    Hi Mavericks SYS,

SEP 12.1 is unable to remove the virus SysBackup.vbs.

Is it detecting the file, but then unable to remove it?  Or not detecting it at all?  Also: do you have the IPS component installed?  Is that blocking any malicious traffic?

Please feel free to PM me the case number and I will take a look from this side to ensure everything proceeds smoothly.

    Many thanks!

    Mick
