    Hi,

Thank you for posting in Symantec community.

I would be glad to answer your query.

Error: FreeCacheEntry called on an entry in use <---- FreeCacheEntry() function tries to delete files (definitions stored in SharedUpdates? getting over the "unused days" limit?) When a file is in use (being downloaded by a SEP client?) it generates this error

    Hi Chetan,

Thanks for the reply, basically what does it means?

i check 'sharedupdate' folder, nothing inside... does this mean the SEP client in the GUP machine is corrupt?

when definitons are not used by other clients and when the defs are in use by someother process. Dead lock scenario.

Have you tried clearing the proxy info from registry?

Did removing the client as GUP and promoting it as GUP helped?
