As on SEP 11.x or 12.x is not

As on SEP 11.x or 12.x is not available for linux but you can use Symantec Antivirus for Linux with above system requirement provided by Pete.

Thanks and Regards,

Ben

It does.

Hello,

Symantec AntiVirus for Linux 1.0.10 located in the SEP 12.1 does support OEL 4.8

I would suggest you to check the "readme.txt" file Located in the DVD downloaded from the fileconnect.

...Symantec_Endpoint_Protection_12.1_Full_EN\SAVLINUX

It states : Red Hat Enterprise Linux 4.8

I would also suggest a check on - SAV_Linux_Impl.pdf located in Symantec_Endpoint_Protection_12.1_Full_EN\SAVLINUX\docs

Hope that helps!!

Hi Outrageous ,

The advice above should get that OEL box protected. &: )

While SAVFL clients cannot be directly managed by a SEP 12.1 SEPM, it is possibel for those Linux machines to forward logs for inclusion in the SEPM's reports, notifications, alerts etc.  These links have more information:
