  • 1.  SEP 12.1 Proactive Threat Protection waiting for updates

    I've upgraded quite a few PCs from 11.0.6300 to 12.1.  On my PC, the Proactive Threat Protection is "Waiting for updates."

     

    I have waited, I have rebooted multiple times, I have removed & rebooted then reinstalled.   It still says waiting for updates.  I have updates coming from both the management server and Live update.

    This is Win7 SP1 64BIT.   My XP SP3 PC does not have this issue.   Running LUALL says I'm up to date.  Clearing out the update cache doesn't fix this.

    How do I resolve this issue?

    Repair the install and reboot.

    Then run the liveupdate and check.

    But... I already removed the product completey, rebooted 2 times, and reinstalled it.   ??

    I will try the repair and post back.

    In that case , repair will not help. Let me check what esle we can try.

    Repair resulted in a fatal exception error.

    I completely removed it again, rebooted two times, and reinstalled.  Third time is a charm, it is working now.

    I am a bit concerned that the SEPM console didn't show my station on the dashboard as a problem station.  Perhaps I just wasn't looking in the proper place.
