Does the Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager support use of Microsoft SQL database mirroring.

The product does not currently support use of database mirroring.

    Hi,

    • The are no specific requirements for installing SEP Manager database on a remote clustered SQL server.
    • It is not supported to install the SEP Manager on a clustered server.
    • You can install the SEP client on the clustered SQL server.

    Hello,

EDIT: The product does not support use of SQL database mirroring in Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager 11.x, however in the Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager 12.1 it is supported.

    Hope that helps!!

Situation: You want to know if Microsoft SQL database mirroring will work with the SEPM.

Solution: The product does not currently support use of database mirroring.

I have opened a support case to ask them this question. Here is part of the answer: SEP 12.1 Supports SQL Mirroring. However, the SEPM cannot natively “failover” between two databases. Thus if you implement database mirroring, the content of the DB will be available, but you will have to re-run the wizard to reconfigure the database IP addres
