Yes, this will not be a problem as long as they can talk to th SEPM on 8014. See these KB articles.

Hello,

Absolutely yes. It is possible to manage the client which are available in virtual machine.

You need to install Symantec Endpoint Protection client on the virtual machine as managede client and follow the best practices as provided below:

Virtualization

In Enterprise Edition, you can use the Symantec Endpoint Protection clients to protect virtual instances of the supported operating systems. You can install and manage Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager on virtual instances of the supported operating systems.
