I have the server client reporting:

    Download Insight is malfunctioning

    Network Intrusion prevention is malfunctioning.

I downloaded updates but that did not resolve. ALSO, clients windows updates seem to be backing up.

    Advice appreciated.

    Hello,

    Check this Thread:

    https://www-secure.symantec.com/connect/forums/sep-12-malfunction

If this doesn't work then Unistall SEP, Delete all folders related with Symantec

    Reboot the machine

    Then install SEP again.

OK, I found that on the SONAR page I had only have as shown in png below. The Download Protection screen was set at 5 and all appeared as in the other post.

I also found that the Syamantec Live Update 3.0 was still on the server from SEP 11.x so I removed it.

I tried to repair SEPM but that failed and the repair process did a roll back and ended with "Fatal error occured". This happened twice.

What do I do now? If I have to reinstall how do I save all SEPM settings for the other clients?

    Hello,

Since you are running the SEP SBE 12.1, you would not see those options which you see in the SEP Enterprise Edition.

Could you try Unistalling SEP, Delete all folders related with Symantec Endpoint Protection client and Reinstalling it again.

Do you mean SEPM or SEP as I have problems with both.

Please point me to the proper process to uninstall SEPM/SEP then reinstall and engage all the clients again. Will this reinstall Live Update 3.0?

This product has caused me an immense amount of time!

    Hello,

We are talking about SEP clients and not SEPM.

I am not getting these errors now in the STATUS screen.

    1. Shall I continue with this install for now?

    2. Is there a way to check all is now OK?
