  • 1.  SEP 12.1 - "SMC -STOP" doesn't work

    Posted Jan 24, 2012 09:58 AM

    I just upgraded to SEP 12.1 RU1.

I'm trying to issue an "smc -stop" command from the Run menu and it isn't working.

Log as administrator, disable Tamper Protection first and then retry "smc -stop"

    Hello,

Disable the Tamper Protection and then try the command.

I am sure that would work.

You will also need to make sure that the SEP client GUI is not open. If it is open, then stopping SMC services will not be possible.
