Hi all,
I know that a standalone client could be installed using SEP 11 and there were no licensing issues.
Could anybody tell me if it is possible to do this with SEP 12.1? If so is it possibe to install the licence on a stand alone PC or is there still no licensing at the client end? If the license expires at the client (if one exists) I assume these will all manually need updating after that as well?
Thanks in advance!

Hi,
Managed clients are automatically licensed if the package is exported from SEPM with a paid license or upon first heartbeat cycle.
In the installation drive inside SEP folder there is already a license file sep_NE.slf which is a license file for 1 machine and with no expiration date. It will apply automatically to the SEP unmanaged client.

Hey chetan, how do we install unmaanged standalone client on sep 12.1? I do not see a SEP folder in the install files, like in sep 11? Do we create an unmaanged package frpm sepm, and use that?

Hi,
I don't know which install files you are using.
