    Hi

    300 user, 1 SEPM, 6 GUP's

over the last couple of months, Definition updates keep failing on CERTAIN machines. calls were logged..get it all to work 100% ..and then a week or 2 later, definition updates stop to work again, and only for about 25 % of the clients?

starting to wonder if DB has a issue, or more likely the Liveupdate engine? can the Liveupdate be reinstalled for the SEPM??

eg some clients will even have the green dot..  yesterday I re-installed one of the clients completely.. today still sitting at 21 Jan 2012 ?

    Regards

If you use SEP12.1 RU1 there is a bug which can appear on some customized cofingurations. After a while SEPM seems to be a little bit strange. You cant export packages as an example anymore but the rest of it looks fine. After a reboot of the system everythings running good again. This problem was fixed in SEP12.1.1 (RU1 MP1) so please update your SEPM and clients to the newest release and test again.

did you check if there is any FW issues or proxy that could hinder the client to GUP communication?
