The Symantec AntiVirus for Linux (SAVFL) Reporter allows you to monitor and report on the following information from the Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager (SEPM) console:

There is no SEP for Linux. It is called SAV for Linux and it is separate from SEP and cannot be managed by a SEPM, although you can have some logs sent to the SEPM via the SAVFL Reporter. The articles provided above should give you all you to accomplish this.

As of now there is only SAV that can be installed on Linux box. its found on the CD2 of the install media what you download from the website ( file connect). it can be managed from SSC console of SAV but not with SEPM . it can be installed only as unmanged.
You can make your linux client to fwd logs to SEPM.

Hello,
Now I get it.. it seems all are getting confused with the word - "SEP for Linux" and "SAV for Linux".
Just to let you know that these are same and the actual word to be used is "SAV for Linux".
Note that SAVFL clients are unmanaged, but there are some tricks you can do. Here is an article on the subject:

It's SAV for Linux. It cannot be managed by SEPM but logs can still be sent to the SEPM. But that is it.
It cannot get policies and the only feature it has is antivirus. I don't know why it changed to SEP for Linux on FileConnect as all the documentation still says SAV for Linux.

Hello,
Yes, SAV for Linux is same as SEP for Linux. You would require Symantec AntiVirus for Linux 1.0 Maintenance Release 14 which supports Ubuntu12.04 Server (EM64T/AMD64) and Ubuntu12.04 Desktop (EM64T/AMD64)
Symantec AntiVirus for Linux 1.0 Maintenance Release 14 is same release you get from the Symantec Fileconnect Website (screenshot provided above).
