    Hello All,

     

    Any suggestions for exceptions on a SMTP server SEP install?

    Not unless specified by the software your using for it.

    I would start with AV only to see how it behaves and add IPS/firewall later on after testing them.

    Hi EndpointeR,

    If the mail server is Exchange, SEP should automatically detect it and apply the exceptions that are necessary.  Otherwise, check what the manufacturer recommends and apply those.

    Definitely do not let SEP try to scan the mail flow- that is not what it is designed to do. A SMTP server needs a proper mail security product.

    Do you use Exchange Server as the SMTP or some other product ?
