Hey guys,

I was reading the SAV and SEP documentations, and I cannot find the footprint related documents.

Can anyone tell me how how big is the footprint of  SEP and SAV?

like this,

CPU: 5% (just an example)

RAM: 51mb (just an example)

HDD: 300mb (just an example)

Bandwidth: 128k bps (just an example)

What is the Symantec Endpoint Protection client footprint?
The footprint when all components (AntiVirus, AntiSpyware, firewall, device control, IPS) are active is 21MB space on the hard drive. The RAM footprint is between 20-25MB.

I know you dont like the links :) but sometimes its hard to type :)

Not many diff between 12.1 and 11.X, PTP was renamed to Sonar. Early scan is only for Windows 8. The above links would just give you the rough estimate of the utilization. There is no specific document wrt to 12.1. 

Cant believe you still remeber my rants on my other post^_^. I do like links, its just a pain when I'm on rush about an issue and needs a quick resolution.

I agree with Rafeeq. There is no such document in reference to the footprint for SEP 12.1.
