Hi,

We have some test 2013 severs and we installed with 12.1.3 SEP clients pointing 12.1 SEPM sever.

Will all the existing policies work smoothly with the existing SEPM?

it will work without any issues.

SEP 12.1.3 can managage 11.x clients too, however its always good to have SEPM on latest version than clients. Since there are no data base schema difference or differnt features, these two version will work.

Actually my question was whether server 2013 client (which is installed with 12.1.3 ) can be part of a 12.1 RU 1 MP 1 SEPM.

Yes, SEPM 12.1 can manage every version of 12.1 clients (older or latest)

There is no server 2013? You mean 2012?

Yes, older 12.1 SEPM can manage newer 12.1 clients.

If I understood correctly,You have SEP 12.1.3 client and its reporting to SEPM 12.1

This is not recommended .It might cause an issue.

SEPM and SEP client should be  either on same version or SEPM should be on higher version than SEP client.

there won't be any issues SEP 12. ru3 client can report to SEPM 12.1 ru1 mp1. however the new features that can be applied from latest SEPM will be missed.
