Hello all, how are you.  Two SEPM's are Installed in failover and load balancing. One of the SEPM is working appropriatly in the envoirement. One of the SEPM is problamtic. The inetpub\content folder is consuimg about the entire Disk Space 66 GB. Only SEPM is installed in this drive whose total size is 80Gb, now the remaining free space is 300MB

I applied all the steps. Content revisions were reduced to 15, indexes was rebuilt and transaction logs were deleted. The major concern about this situation is the problem which is occurring.

    1. Though SEPM has downloaded the latest definitions, it says latest from Symantec =2/18/14 , latest on manager= 2/18/14.
    2. Inetpub\content is continuously consuming disk space on the Hard Disk which 66 GB.
    3. When I added 13 GB to the drive it was consumed by the inetpub folder in literally 5 minutes, whenever I free some space it is instantly consumed by the inetpub\Content folder

I don't know what is causing this issue. the free space remaing on the drive is 300MB , and it says it cant perform tasks needs atleast 1 GB free disk space. Please see the attached screenshot, waiting for your kind response

    You can reduse content revisions

you need to wait till the data sweeping task to cmplete all the old data.

@pete Will the data sweeping task gonna occur automatically ? what is it gonna do ?

It happens at night, it will clear unused logs

even after reducing content revisions , when I added more 13 GB to the HD ,all of it was instantly consumed by inetpub\content folder within 5 minutes literally, this is the part which appears to be abnormal

    check this link

Sweeping log data from the database manually

You can manually clear the logs, but this procedure is optional and you do not have to do it.

To sweep log data from the database manually

    1. To prevent an automatic sweep of the database until after a backup occurs, increase the Site Properties Log Settings to their maximums.
    2. Perform the backup, as appropriate.
    3. On the computer where the manager is installed, open a Web browser and type the following URL:
      https://localhost:8443/servlet/ConsoleServlet?ActionType=ConfigServer&action=SweepLogs
After you have performed this task, the log entries for all types of logs are saved in the alternate database table. The original table is kept until the next sweep is initiated.
    4. To empty all but the most current entries, perform a second sweep. The original table is cleared and entries then start to be stored there again

Yes it will be automatic, Can you check if you have enabled content replication from remote SEPM?

What options have you selected under replication tab

    1. n the console, click Admin, and then click Servers.

    2. Under Servers, click Replication Partners.

    3. Expand Replication Partners and select the replication partner with which you want to replicate client packages.

    4. Under Tasks, click Edit Replication Partner Properties.

@ Rafeeq there is no replication occuring

There is no replication partner. Two SEPM's are configured in failover and load balancing with the same priority. The other SEPM is working fine with the appropriate size

Reduce the number of content versions to 10 on both SEPMs. Compare the content of the folders {07B... and {535C... on both SEPMs.

66 GB is too much. 15 content revisions should take about 30 GB altogether (both 32-bit and 64-bit AV/AS content).

Greg the content folder on the second SEPM is only 24GB as compared to the first one

I am very much amazed about that behavior in which the Inetpub folder is consuming all the disk space, it consumed 13GB literally in 5 minutes. what is causing it ?

Just curious .. According to your screenshot, you have more than 4,000 files in the two folders. That seems to be a very high number. One content revision has (in my environment) 46 files, so 30 (15 x 2) content revisions add up to 1,380 files. Of course you will have some additional delta files (.dax/.dax.sig), but it's not likely that they explain the difference.

So check the AV/AS folders thoroughly, perhaps you will find hints of data corruption or abnormalities.
