  • 1.  Sep 12.1.4 starts to installs then rollls back

    I have a windows 2003 server that is running symantec endpoint managment server sepm 12.1.4 and that loads great and manages clients.. However when installing a client on its self sep 12.1.4 it starts the install and then gets to a point and backtracts on the install.. And never installs it ... I called cust. Sup and got the latest cleanwipe and ran it still wont install after that either .. I have gon in registry and taken out anything that says symantec endpoint protection and still no joy.... I am seeing this alot on other workstations if the install doesnt run right the first time .... Help please ....

    Please post the SIS_INST.log and SEP_INST.log files.

    Required logs for troubleshooting failed Endpoint Protection 12.1 client installations

     

    Also, rung the SymDiag tool:

    Download SymDiag to detect Symantec product issues

    Provide SEP_Inst.log file present under %temp% directory. 

    You should upgrade the SEPM & SEP clients to the latest version to mitigate recently detected vulnerabilities.
