  • 1.  SEP 12.1.5 configuration for Intel WiDi

    Just wondering if anyone out there has been able to successfully configure Symantec Endpoint Protection to support Intel Wireless Display (WiDi) communication ? 

    We notice that McAfee have posted a KB article for their customers to provide such guidance (http://service.mcafee.com/faqdocument.aspx?id=TS101883)  but there does not appear to be any such similar guidance from Symantec.

    This support forum has postings from other users also trying to get WiDi working with SEP 12 but so far there does not appear to be any answers.

    What's the issue, is it being blocked? Does anything show in the traffic log?

    Troubleshoot blocked network traffic due to the Endpoint Protection firewall

    I am also running into the WiDi issue. Users say everything works fine when they disable SEP. I search the SEP site and only 4 results were returned and all unsolved.
