    Hi,

Our customer had an update for Windows10 and had an issue with their existing SEP 12.1.5 version. How can they update their SEP to SEP 12.1.6?

WIndows 10 is supported with SEP 12.1.6 MP1.

Hence you may need to update the system with 12.1.6 MP1 and then upgrade OS.

You can upgrade to Windows 10 with Symantec Endpoint Protection 12.1.6 MP1 or 12.1.6 MP1a installed, but you must first update Virus and Spyware Protection definitions to July 27, 2015, or later. Definitions as of this date include an update to the Eraser engine (115.1.1.10) that is required for Windows 10 compatibility

They should download the latest from fileconnect, uninstall 12.1.5 and install 12.1.6 MP1

when running an update it would have popped up to uninstall AV before continuing upgrade.

    Hello,

While doing an upgrade to Windows 10 if it's prompted to uninstall SEP even though it's on 12.1 RU6 version in that case following article might help you.
