Hi all,

I just have a problem here with regards to SEP 12 and kinda hoping that you can help me sort this out. The details of my problems are listed below:

Current setup:

I am currently using SEPM 11 on my server and SEP 11  agents is currently deployed on my 20 clients, and also i am still under the 1 year warranty period therefore i can upgrade my SEP11 to SEP12.

What i did:

I have another server (clean server, nothing is installed on this one) which i have done fresh installation of SEPM 12. It was installed successfully on the server, so i turned off the other server that houses my SEP 11.

My problem now is:

I deployed SEP 12 agents to at least 3 clients on my network and it pushed through but when i checked it on the SEPM 12 the agents cannot be detected.

I am really confused right now because what i only did was just a fresh installation from an another server and i did not overwrite the server that has my SEP 11 so therefore there shouldn't be any glitch on deploying my agents, right?

Hope you could help me on this one. Thanks in advance!

Goto the Clients UI and Click Help and Support-->Troubleshooting. See Which server it is pointing?

Hello,

In your case, the Package was successfully deployed to the clients. So the package reached the machines, however the question now remains...

1) Was the Installation completed??

2) If the Installation completed, then

      -  What Version does it show you in the Help and Support--> About.

      - What do you see under Help and Support-->Troubleshooting > Servers?

3) Are these clients not reporting to the New Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager??

Check these Articles below:

1) Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager 12.1 Communication Troubleshooting

2) Troubleshooting communication problems between the management server and the client

Hope these helps!!
