can you become a bit clear on what you need ?

do you need the solution to clean some virus before deploying your antivirus.

I'm guessing you need some

I'm guessing you need some removal tools. Try to learn what the name of the threat is.

Here's a link that might help.
http://www.symantec.com/norton/security_response/t...

No matter what AV you'll be using, all vendors suggest you to make sure that the OS is free from virus before installing them.

When you say vaccine as in removal tool, there are rarely one that would cater to all virus as each virus is unique (variants excluded)
There are some that may claim to do so, but I think they might be leaving something behind.

There is no one vaccine for all virus except for the AV solutions like for example, Symantec Endpoint Protection.

You can use Norton security

You can use Norton security scan . To get this you may contact Symantec Tech. Support team.

Little more information would

Little more information would be great. Exactly how many computers are affected? Do you have a clean computer that you know is not affected? If you have a computer that you know if not affected you can take the hard drive of the affected computer and slave it to the unaffected machine so you can run a full scan using a program like SEP on the slaved drive. Other options are the Norton security scan like suggested above. It really all depends on how many computers are affected and what resources you have at your disposal.

To be honest, I have no idea

To be honest, I have no idea how many computers are infected. I am trying to solve server first. Is there anyway I can solve the clients and server at the same time? The clients are running live 24x7. It is impossible to disconnect them from server.

Still guessing here, you

Still guessing here, you could disable System Restore on all infected PCs then slave the infected hard drives to a clean PC with updated virus definitions and run a full scan. or map the system drive and map the drive to the clean and updated PC and run  a custom scan.

Slaving the infected drives

Slaving the infected drives is one good option as mon suggested above. Also try Norton Security Scan loaded onto a boot cd. This means you will never have to even touch the infected drive and you can still the scan. You must call in to get this tool however. Won't be the case in the future, since a new boot cd is currently in development. Most likely it will just be available for download in the near future.

Cheers

Regarding the new boot CD.

Regarding the new boot CD. Can't wait to get my hands on one of those. :D
What are the situations that would require one one of those?

You guys already know about

You guys already know about the old boot cd that uses WinPE and a version of NSS.exe. That is the one we have now that anyone can make. They just need to request nss.exe from support. From what I understand though there is a new cd in the works. You can follow its development in the idea's section. No word yet on when it will be available, but I assume it will be available for download as an iso. I will try to get more details to keep people updated. Will update this thread when I have more info :-)

New cd in the works... WHEN

I just wanted to know then the new CD will be avaible, I got huge problems with a virus, which is able to disenable the SEP client on one of my mashines. Plus the taskmanager is gone and other windows functions. I cannot boot to windows "Safe" mode as it goes into enternal reboot mode. The best solution would be a BOOT CD to clean the mashine without windows (and the virus) running.

Please help as the mashine contain critical data and I am NOT letting the mashine back on the network before it is total clean!!!!

PS: Been seven weeks and no update on the Live CD.... Is it hard to create??

Best regards
Jimmy
