This issue has been solved. See solution.

I have discovered devices with duplicate Symantec hardware IDs and created a script to poll all my machines and fix them. But for 64-bit installs, the Sylink registry entry is not there to scan. I can't find the ID anywhere in the registry. Anyone know how to get this without having to look at sephwid.xml?

Info on searching for the hardware ID:

WOW6432?

I don't have a 64-bit system available to look through, but I suspect it may be under the HKLM\Software\WOW6432 reg key...

On my Windows 7 64-bit test

On my Windows 7 64-bit test installation, I found the HW ID exactly at the same location as in the 32-bit version:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Symantec\Symantec Endpoint Protection\SMC\SYLINK\SyLink

Not that I have spent months

Not that I have spent months working on this but I finally figured it out. When remotely querying 64-bit OS registry settings, you must query from another 64-bit OS. I was running a script looking for duplicates from a 32-bit OS which can't see all the registry entries
