    Hi,

I'm having problem with login to the SEP mgr. console.

here's what I've got on my email:
    Message from:
            Server Name: MgmtServer01
            Server IP: 10.2.2.5

Someone has attempted to log on to your account.
These attempts have failed because an invalid password was entered.
This account has been locked for 15  minutes.

    Log On Failure Information:
            Log On Account: admin
            Request Issued From Host: 127.0.0.1
            Request Denied By:
    MgmtServer01
Date and Time of Last Failed Log On Attempt: Feb 24, 2010 12:33:43 AM
Total Failed Log On Attempts: 15

This message is sent to alert you that this might be an intrusion attack from an unknown source. Make sure the appropriate action is taken to ensure the security of your system.

I've executed the "resetpass.bat" and that is what I've got with the failed login "Authentication failure" yes I've waited for about a day and restarted the server several times.

Can anyone help me to unlock the password please ?

    Thanks.

wait for 15 mins and unlock the account or fwd system time to 1 hour
what is the authentication type you have SEpM or AD?
reset pass will work only for SEPM.
    Once you reset the password
    log in with
    user name: admin
    password :admin
    will prompt to change..

When you run Resetpass .bat what is the user name and password are you using to relogin to SEPM?

By default it is username = admin    password = admin

i think you are trying to log in with your previous password,
when you run the resetpass.bat log in with
    user name: admin
    pasword: admin

Yes I did try with admin-admin

As far as I can remember few weeks ago i was trying to integrate the admin login with AD / LDAP but then it failed and i'm stuck with unusable SEP.

as the last resort I'm thinking of deleting all of the DB content and then restore it again from the 1 month old backup hopefully all of the settings can still be restored to original.
