SEP Altiris Integration Component Issue
Updated: 23 May 2010 | 3 comments
Our Symantec EP Client Content Version Summary Graph in the Altiris Integration Component console shows some of our workstations definitions are outdated. I will run a Basic import manually and it still states they are outdated. I log onto the SEP console and the virus definition Distribution is 100 percent with the newest definitions.
I am running SEP 11 MR4 MP2. Thanks.

Drilling in further on the pie chart I see more
What exacltly are these? Are these documented somewhere?
SYKNAPPS_CAL
SYKNAPPS_ENGINE
SYKNAPPS_WHITELIST
DEUCE SIG
PTS CONTENT
PTS ENGINE
Status Outdated
All related to PTP
THese are all related to proactive threat protecton.
So that means PTP definition is out of date but your AV definitons are updating thats the reason SEPM shows updated definitons
SYKNAPPS --Symantec Knwon Applicaton
PTS -Proactive Threat Scan
Check if SEPM is updating with PTP definitions.
VMWARE-- SEP 12.1 vs McAfee vs Trend Micro
Def issues
So now that I enabled Intrusion Protection I no longer get these are out of date
DEUCE SIG
PTS CONTENT
PTS ENGINE
BUT
I still get these are out of date (not all, but on some machines)
SYKNAPPS_CAL
SYKNAPPS_WHITELIST OUT OF DATE
(however the virus defs and everything else show up to date)
I have application and device control installed on the machines but the policy is not enabled right now. I am wondering if I enable to the policy but have it do nothing it would go away.
Any ideas? Thanks.
