    Is it Possible to setup SEP to only manually update, and not to auto update?

    Are you talking about content updates? And is this a managed or unmanaged client? If unmanaged then yes. If managed, the client will check in to the SEPM and grab content updates when needed.

    Yes, please describe whether you are talking about content updates or SEP version update? 

    Auto upgrade is not enable by default for SEP client version but SEP client triggers content update as soon as it get's install. 

    What's your business requirement?
