  • 1.  SEP automatically shuts off on Starter

I'm running Windows 7 Starter on a netbook and, for some reason that I cannot figure out, I keep getting a message that SEP is not on and would I like to turn it on? I don't consciously shut it off ever, so it is shutting down automatically and then I don't understand why, if it shuts itself off, why can't it turn itself back on? What am I missing here? Do I have some botched setting somewhere? Is anyone else experiencing this? Is this the right place to post this?

Please help me - it seems pretty insecure to have it automatically shut down and not start back up for any reason and it does so regularly. Is it crashing? Is LiveUpdate shutting it off for some reason? Am I missing some error message somewhere?

What is the version of SEP installed?

Also please paste a screen shot of the error.

check the permissions on the client machine; follow this document for the same

Only SEP 11.0.5000 and higher is compatible with windows 7; make sure you are running the latest version
you can download it from here
