SEP can detect a file even

SEP can detect a file even if it is hidden , system file, API hidden.
SEP AV loads in Kernel and it has access over the whole HDD and RAM so it can detect a virus anywhere even if it is loaded in memory..

when I have hidden files, none of my infected files not detected by sep, but when I have unhidden files sep begins to detect infected files.

 Well it doesn't matter but

Well it doesn't matter but still what SEP version are you using ?
Have you tried testing it with a  Eicar.org test malware file.
Create a folder inside that create hidden folder and paste the zip file over there then scan the top folder with SEP. If nothing is detected then unhide the folder inside the top folder and scan again.
SEP should detect the file in the first place.
