SEP causing Wi-Fi connectivity problems?

  • 1.  SEP causing Wi-Fi connectivity problems?

    Posted Aug 27, 2013 11:46 AM

I have a user receiving limited or no connectivity on random computers on a network adapter with SEP installed. The user is running with the following configuration:

Computer OS: Windows 8 Enterprise x64
Type of Computers: HP 2730P, HP 810 Evolve, Fujitsu T731
Description: Randomly dropping of the Wi-Fi network
Error Message: No error message, user just has to disconnect and reconnect to Wi-Fi

A new wireless network was installed this year at the location. We checked the machine’s IP and they appear to be valid and getting definition updates correctly. One of the IPs brought back two clients. See screenshots:

    Any ideas? Thoughts?

What's the exact version of SEP and what components do you have installed?

in the screenshot, you have two PCs that at one point had the same IP address. Does one of those user have a static address set?

Perhaps there is an IP conflict happening.

I will check with the user to see if a staic IP address is set on any of the PC's and get back to you.

User is reporting all of the HP2730p and Fujitsu T731 are getting the blue screen of death. He removed Symantec and it resolve the issue. See screenshot from the user. Thoughts?

Have you tried 12.1 RU3 to see if it fixes the issue?
