since one week i have some clients where GoTo Meeting is not runnig. I have to stop the service doing smc -stop and the application starts as usual.

I have created Exceptions with the complete path -> no success

I have created under "Application ans Device Control" a policy to allow "launch" application but no success. Ans help would be great and fantastic.

Does the client start and not connect or just not start at all? I assume you use the SEP firewall?

Check the Traffic log at the time the blocking is occuring. You may need to add an allow rule.

You can post the traffic log here as well if you want for review.

thanks for your replies. I have create a centralized exception - no sucess. In the logs i can see nothing relating to this fuc§"$"$%$ GoTo Meeting. The client does not start, only when i stop the symantec the popup comes up where i can put in my login credentials.

In the rule

Condititon) > AC14-1.2 Allow IE to launch system process

put exclusion for your Apps.

Check traffic log in 12.1 client, it would provide you details on which rule is blocking it, with that information you make want to modify the rule. If your using a older clients enable TSE debug log and check the log as described in the article below are attach it to your comment.

first, dive in SEP client logs, there's should be something that explain what you are experiencing and what is the SEP feature which is causing the issue.

Which rule is blocking your connection? Find it from SEPM logs and make exclusion for this.

Test the policy before applying on production setup.

g2mcomm.exe *32

g2mstart.exe *32

please see attached the logfile.

rename the file to .log then it will work.

I have made exclusions.

This is the sylink log. You will need to check the Security, Control, or Traffic log to determine what is going on

Exlclude all these, the once you excluded may be the process which is running in the taskmanager.

I've actually had a similar issue before, and I'm sorry, Balraj, but I never did get to the bottom of it. So, I tried out RHUB's setup and have been pleased ever since. It's easy to use and it's secure.
