I have been getting a pop up from Symantec (SEP)each morning saying that a
virus was found on my computer.  I have ran a full system scan and found no virus.
Is ther a way to stop this popup from appearing?

Ensure that you have the

Ensure that you have the latest virus definitions for the features installed on the machine in question. Restart the computer in Safe mode and then perform a full scan. let us know the result

I agree with sandip,this is an addition to his comment .Turn off system restore.Also assure that you are having all patches installed in your PC.If any sharing folders is present try to remove the sharing.Always keep the no. of shared folders as minimum as possible.if it is must at least remove the write permission to it. Have a look in below article also.

One more possibility is you

One more possibility is you are getting attacked from other PCs which is present in your network.
Use Risk Tracer to identify them.This article will help you in this
