    Posted Oct 08, 2011 03:57 PM

Hi all, I recently upgrade my SEPM and all my clients to 11RU7. Then I start to see some clients without virus definitions :

I put this clients to a new group, and assign a live update policy telling to catch definitions from Internet. Clients update more or less quickly (some clients take few days and some few hours).

I notice that there clients try to reconfigure every 2 minutes :

This continuing for HOURS !!! and many days consecutively !!! Generating a lot of disk I/O on the client.

    The 'Avertissement' message is :

And the 'Information' message is :

This bug seem impact only Windows XP SP3.

    Can someone provide some advises.

    Thanks.

    Hi,

There is a hotfix available from Microsoft that addresses this memory leak in crypt32.dll. See the following Microsoft technical article:

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/959658 ("A memory leak problem occurs when you run an application that uses the HttpSendRequest function of the WinHTTP API or of the WinINet API to send Secure Sockets Layer requests in Windows XP Service Pack 3").
