  • 1.  SEP client does not connect to Priority 1 server but to Priority 2

    Posted May 21, 2012 03:54 AM

    Hello,

I have few SEP clients installed on servers which are connecting to the SEPM with Priority 2 in the MSL. Ping and telnet to both SEPMs is fine, also I have replaced the SyLink file but the client still connects to the P2 SEPM.

    What could be the reason?

    Thanks

yes, smc service restarted, communication with both SEPMs is fine, just not connecting to Priority 1 SEPM

    Hello,

In your case, you need to check the Communication settings of the Groups to which these clients are reporting to.

To check the Communication settings on each groups -

SEPM > Clients > Highlight the Group > Click on the Policies TAB on the right hand side > Communication Settings > Management Server List.

You need to have the correct option selected to have your clients reporting to.

    Hope that helps!!

Pete, I have sent you the SyLink log on a private message because contains some customer details inside and don't want to post it here.
