SEP client installation Error message

We are upgrading clients from older version to new version 12..1 MP1. In one of the clients getting below error message when check the installation Log.

"MSI (s) (68:D4) [09:28:13:617]: Product: Symantec Endpoint Protection -- Error 1920. Service Symantec Migration Service (SepMasterServiceMig) failed to start.  Verify that you have sufficient privileges to start system services."

can you post the full install.log?

whats the account are ytou using to install?

can you use local administrator?

Are you logged in as admin?

Upload the SEP_INST.log

Hi,

Please Install on Administrator account

Error: "1920 Service Defwatch failed to start. Verify that you have sufficient privileges to start system services

Even though you are logged in as Administrator account on the machine, you made need to use UAC in order to complete the installation or turn off UAC altogether.

With UAC:

- Right cliack and "run as administrator" on the installation package.

Remove UAC:

- Open control Panel

- Type "UAC" in the search bar on the top right of th page

- "Change user account settings"

- Slide the slider bar to the bottom.

Reboot will be required for it to take effect.

we have this issue on few systems.. currently systems are in offlien. I'll the post full logs tomorrow..

Please find attach full installation log,  change the extension from .txt to .log

Installation success or error status: 1603

I would suggest you to restart the machine and try installing SEP again.
 
If the above does not help, then work on the steps provided in the Article below:
 
Symantec Endpoint Protection 12.1 client install rolls back, returning 1603
