I am trying to create a new SEP installation package and it runs but never completes. I let it going for 5 hr and ended up just canceling. Done the manager need internet connectivity to create a package? This console doesn't have internet.

The console shouldn't need Internet to create the package.

What is the exact version? I remember something similar happening in 12.1.5, I believe.

You're running SEP 12.1 RTM, which is the first version of SEP. There have been 17 versions released since which have fixed hundreds of bugs. I remember this issue in an older version. Are you able to upgrade?

With bugs it was a code change so I don't know the exact fix, You could try playing aruond with the options - maybe export without content. Aside from that support may be able to help but they're just going to tell you to upgrade.

In the export package window, click on the 'Select' button next to Select the content for this package.

Uncheck the option 'Include all content in the client installation package'

Is it possible to create a package on a different SEPM and copy setting?

You can, but, the clients will then point to that SEPM.

You would either need to then replace the sylink on them after the install or manually edit the package after exporting and copy the sylink.xml file from the SEPM you want the clients to point to.
