SEP client service not start.

Hello
I have the problem with SEP.
Endpoint 11.0.5.
Database embedded.
SEP 80 client.
Most client have the problem.
1. In the console, At the client page client status display not connect to server.
2. When look at the client, At the system tray don't have the SEP icon.
3. At the processes in task manager don't have smc.exe.
4. I have to start service (smc -start) manualy everytime when login.
How I do for this problem.

Hi
The reason why you are getting client not connected in the management cosole is that SMC is not running,
SMC is responsible for cliente communication with the manager
We need to check why SMC start up type is not automatic.
on one of the clients
open services.msc
look for symantrec management client service
right clik and click on properties.
check the start up type it should be automatic.
do u have any group policy which stops symantec servies from running
Do you see any other errors in the event viewer application logs on the machines in question
