  • 1.  SEP Client Settings different from SEP Server Settings

    Posted Feb 05, 2015 08:52 AM

    Hello!

I am inspecting my clients directly to ensure they have the correct settings and I have noticed that some of the grayed out areas where managed by the server do not have the same setting as the server.  Is this normal behavior? or should the client state the correct setting even if grayed out?

For example, on the SEPM server, I have set a sensitivity level for Download Insight at 3, but when I examine the setting on the client, the Download Insight is grayed out, but shows Level 1 is set.

Is this normal behavior, or is there a setting I am missing somewhere?

    Thank you for your help.

Does the client policy serial number match whats in the SEPM? You could try moving that client to a different group, letting it pickup the policy change, then move it back to the original group. Perhaps something was stuck and not allowing it to update its policy.

    Checked and grayed out?

Brian and Rafeeq, thank you for answering so quickly.  After digging into it more, I saw that I wasn't pushing the install for "Advanced Insight" and was therefore defaulting me to security level 1 on the clients. Hence giving me mixed results.
