  • 1.  SEP client updateing defination from intern LUA but not from SEPM or GUP

    some of clients are taking update from internal LUA even though LUA is not configure for that group.......

    On the client, look in the registry under
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Symantec\Symantec Endpoint
    Protection\LiveUpdate.
    Check the settings for the following keys:
    ■ UseLiveUpdateServer
    If this key is set to 1, the client uses an internal LiveUpdate server or Symantec
    LiveUpdate directly.
    ■ UseManagementServer
    If this key is set to 1, the client uses the management server.
    ■ UseMasterClient
    If this key is set to 1, the client uses a group update provider

    What  is the value set here?

    Look like a bug which is fixed in RU5
    Ref:Release notes for Symantec Endpoint Protection 11.0.x and Symantec Network Access Control 11.0.x
    For migration refer this doc

    I am also curious to know how do you confirmed this ?
