we have 1500 systems in the local network running with sep 12.1.1 now we have planed to upgrade to server with 12.1.2 please let me know how many system i can push the new sep 12.1.2 package at a time to upgrade.
You can use auto upgrade feature
https://www-secure.symantec.com/connect/articles/upgrade-clients-sep-121-auto-upgrade-feature
do you want to use auto upgrafe or push method?
since clients are in LAN. you can autoupgrade one group at a time or you can schedule the upgrade.
You can use auto-upgrade, client deployment wizard or a third party method such as sccm or even gpo
How many clients are in single group?
If all the clients are in local network then you can choose the autoupgrade feature one by one on all groups.
note that the load on SEPM should also be considered.
