we are testing deploying a custom package (users currently have SAV 10.1.4 installed and we are pushing custom SEP 11.0.5) - with the silent install it goes fine, even with Outlook open, but users get the following message from Outlook:
"The Add-in "Symantec Antivirus 10.1" (C:\Program Files\Symantec AntiVirus\vpmsece4.dll) cannot be loaded and has been disabled by Outlook. Please Contact the Add-in manufacturer for an update. If no update is available, please uninstall the Add-in.
Any ideas how you are got around this - we want to deploy while users are logged on, but dont want the above message appearing. Anyway to supress message, remove plug in first (GPO??), or remove the feature from old SAV 10.1.4 server? Seems SEP is removing SAV fine, but Oulook is complaining the dll is not there anymore.
Don;t want this appearing, not sure a reboot gets rids of message either!
