    Hi All,

    We are using SEP 12.1 RU2 MP1
All clients are in Pull Mode.
All clients are showing offline/self-managed while updating policy. Please find the attached screenshots for the same.
Because of this behaviour most of the clients are showing as offline in the SEPM console.
Secars teast result is OK. There are no network issues.
    Is it a known issue?

Try replacing the sylink on one client as a test.

Enable sylink logging and post the log here.

Please check that all system's are getting telnet with sepm. and even you can check with restarting SEPM.

Try to replace the sylink of any one system and check if its work.

    Hi All,

    Sorry for the late reply.

Yes. All these systems are imaged.
But everything was working fine with SEP 11.
We are facing this issue after upgradation to SEP 12.1 only.

We have rebooted all 4 SEPM servers multiple times.
    We have replaced sylink.
    But still issue persisting.

    Hi,

Is the systems are able to communicate with the SEPM server (telnet port 8014 by default).

Is it happening on only one system or multiple also make sure that systems are imaged properly.

What is the status showing on SEPM server of the associated client?

    Regards

    Ajin

    Hi All,

    Secars test result is "OK"
telnet port 8014 from client to SEPM is successful
    SEPM is pinging with FQDN

After upgrading from version 11 to 12 only we are facing this issue.
We are having 46,000 client systems and the issue is on all the systems.
We have not reimaged 46,000 systems and it is difficult to think also.
So, I am sure that it is not because of OS image.

As I said earlier, this issue came after upgrading to the version 12.1 only.
So, it is not becuase of network, image, DNS.

Please find the attached Sylink file and screenshot.

We have contacted Symantec Support and they are asking us to change the default communication port from 8014 to 8080 in the SEPM.

I don't know how it can be resolve my issue by simple changing the default port.

We have 46000 client systems in more than 200 locations. Changing the communication port is not a simple thing for us.

Since we are following ITIL process, we have to know what will happen if we change the port and we have to update the same in the Change Request form. But Symantec Support itself doesn't know what will happen.
