Can you try by disabling Tamper Protection feature for that particular group then deploy ?

    Hi,

Thank you for posting in Symantec community.

Could you confirm the SEP client version.

One of the password releates issue had been fixed in SEP 12.1 RU2 version.

    Here are details:

Certain passwords cause irregular behavior with password security features
    Fix ID: 2693672
Symptom: Certain passwords cause irregular behavior with password security features on the Symantec Endpoint Protection client.
Solution: Changed the way password string is verified to avoid a NULL value.

When i disabled password from SEPM, i even disabled password to open SEP UI, and now i am able to open SEP UI without supplying password. so i guess....picked up the policy changes

You mean you can upgrade/install package locally but when tries to deploy remotely it's not working? or asking password though it's removed?

Yes.. the SEP client OS is  2012 R2 Data center edition. after try this below it worked..

Prepare Windows 8 or Windows Server 2012 computers*, Windows 8.1 or Windows Server 2012 R2 computers**, or Windows 8.1 Update 1 or Windows Server 2012 R2 Update 1***:Before you deploy, perform the following tasks:

    • Disable the Windows Firewall, or configure the firewall to allow the required traffic.
    • To allow the correct access for User Access Control, create the registry key <computercode style="font-family: 'Courier New'; font-size: 12pt; color: rgb(34, 34, 34); line-height: 20px;">LocalAccountTokenFilterPolicy</computercode> as described above.
    • Enable and start the Remote Registry service.
