    Hello All,

Is there any compatibility issue between ForeFront and SEP V12? Is it compulsory to remove either one from the PC?

    Thanks.

    Hello,

    Check this Article:

About the files and folders that Symantec Endpoint Protection excludes from virus and spyware scans

    http://www.symantec.com/docs/HOWTO55233

The client automatically creates file and folder exclusions for the following Microsoft Forefront products:

    • Forefront Server Security for Exchange

    • Forefront Server Security for SharePoint

    • Forefront Threat Management Gateway

Check the Microsoft Web site for a list of recommended exclusions.

Also see the Symantec Technical Support knowledge base article, Configuring Symantec Endpoint Protection exclusions for Microsoft Forefront.

    Hope that helps!!!

    Hi,

It's not compulsory but it's strongly recommended to use one antivirus software per machine.

Because you may see high CPU usage, resources being drained, and possibly corruption.

In some cases antivirus software will not install if any other antivirus software is present.

Thanks a lot for your kind advice. OK. I will try to use only one AV in PC as advised by Pete and Idimple but wanna try with exclusion of those folder as Mithun Sanghavi mentioned and monitor for performance issue as mentioned by Chetan Savade. Thanks again guys. Really appreciated it.
