  • 1.  SEP Compatibility with Windows 10

Currently our company is pushing out SEP 12.1.6 MP3. However after the Windows 10 update some of the computers will no longer accept SEP. It states the software is unsupported. Is this because of the older version of SEP we are running or is there a fix for this? We use an in house manager not the cloud.

12.1.6 MP5 is the latest version which you need to be on to go to the Anniversary edition.

    There is a thread here:

    Hello,

Thank you for posting your query on Symantec community.

You can only upgrade to Windows 10 Anniversary Update with Symantec Endpoint Protection 12.1 RU6 MP5 installed. You must uninstall or upgrade earlier versions of Symantec Endpoint Protection prior to the Operating System upgrade. The Operating System upgrade will stop if it detects an earlier version of Symantec Endpoint Protection.

Symantec Endpoint Protection 12.1 RU6 MP5 provides basic compatibility for Windows 10 Anniversary Update / Windows 10 Feature Update 1607.

Full support is planned for the next major release of Symantec Endpoint Protection.

Go through the following latest tech note:

Symantec Endpoint Protection 12.1 RU6 MP5 offers basic compatibility with Win 10 Anniversary Update.
