My SEPM is not downloading Antivirus and antispyware definition from last 3 days . Please assist .

for a time being update the SEPM using the jdb file, so that clients are updated, if it still fails , post the error message.

Else, post the behaviour of the system (LiveUpdate-Workflow from inside sepm) after inserting the .jdb-file!

Hi,

Very first try to run liveudpate manually or throgh SEPM console.

To run it manually go to Start --> Run --> (type) Luall.exe

If it's giving any error share screen shot with us.

What version of SEP 11.x have you installed??

When you say, "My SEPM is not downloading Antivirus and antispyware definition from last 3 days ", Does that mean that SEPM able to download everything else but not Antivirus and antispyware definitions only"??

If yes, then Configure a rule on the upstream Firewall to allow traffic from LiveUpdate servers without performing AntiVirus scans.

OR ELSE

Please Uninstall the Liveupdate and Install it again by following the steps in the article below:

This started last week and is now prevelant across all my clients.

Client version 12.1.1000.157

SEPM definitions 12/12/2011 r34

Clients in console definitions  12/08/2011 r35 and 12/11/2011 r6

My PC client definitions  12/11/2011 r6  with out of date message.

Have run LiveUpdate manually with no change both on SEPM and client on PC.

Options?

Check the size allocated to the "Content" filegroup in the SEPM database.  I experienced this issue before and allocating more space to this filegroup resolved the issue.

You could also decrease the numer of definitions revisions the SEPM will hold

If SEPM console machine not update you should dowenload the update for that

Go to google page the type symantec rapid relese in that select rapid release virus definitions  and

dowenload the .jdb file  vd371c21.jdb after dowenloading rename .jdb has .exe file and copy .exe file  and past in this locations C:\progream files -->symantec-->symantec endpoint protection manager-->
data-->inbox-->content-->incoming.

after some time file will disapper and system get update with latest update and same update push to all client machines.
