SEP error after restoring on other server
Updated: 23 May 2010 | 13 comments
This issue has been solved. See solution.
After I follow the steps for restoring on other server (virtual machine): restore SEP Manager, restore the server certificate and restore client communications with a database backup, when I try to log on Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager I receive the message : "You cannot log on the console because the server is not synchronized with database. Upgrade the server, and the log on to the console".
I tried to reconfigure server with Management Server Configuration Wizard, but i receive same error. Before to restore the database, i could to log on SEP Manager.
Please help me with a advise.
Thank you.

Uninstall 11.0.5002.333 and
Uninstall 11.0.5002.333 and install 11.0.4014.26 and do a disaster recovery according to below doc
Best Practices for Disaster
Recovery with Symantec Endpoint Protection
After that if you want you can upgrade to 11.0.5002.333 for this follow this doc
Migrating to Symantec Endpoint Protection 11.0 RU5
I hope 11.0.4014.26 SEPM cd/dump is present with you.If not present request some symantec employ this this form for that .they can create a temporary share and get you the software.
