  • 1.  SEP exclusions for Exchange 2010

Does the latest version of SEP (11.6) have the exclusions configured for Exchange 2010 that Microsoft recommends in the article below or do I need to configure manually?

For Exchange 2010 you need to configure it manually even for Exchange 2007 it has to be done manually

    Hi AmTrust,

The latest release of SEP 11, RU6 MP1, now automatically detects the presence of MS Exchange Server 2010 and creates the necessary exclusions.

I have confirmed this myself in the past week.  Updates to the Symantec KB article on the subject, Preventing Symantec Endpoint Protection 11.0 from scanning the Microsoft Exchange 2010 directory structure (http://service1.symantec.com/support/ent-security.nsf/854fa02b4f5013678825731a007d06af/9423189172c80f3b80257678003c981a?OpenDocument) have not yet been ported to the public servers, but are in process.

Please let the forum community know if this answers your query or if there is additional information that can be provided!

    Thanks and best regards,

    Mick
