This issue has been solved. See solution.
Hi all,
I wish to know the process to check on SEP client on which if try to install SEP , it not installs or roll back, what is the porcess I should check on system, e.g. , services, etc whether its running or not, and there is entry in Temp file sep log in text file, what can I check in this file , so that I can know the reason of failing to install SEP or roll back.
My querry is that what content I should see in that log file inside temp folder about failure of SEP install and the services to check?
pls share your expertise, generally if this case happens , we used to format the system to reinstall OS then install SEP on it,
Regards,
Ajay Singh

sep_inst.log should be the one that needs to be reviewed if the install fails.
In that look for the value "return value 3" just above this or below you will find the error and reason for failure .
Cheers!

Hello,
SEP_Inst.log Log Files are located in %temp% or %systemroot%\temp
Check the 10 lines above and below Value "return value 3".
You also look for the MSI Errors:
http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/desktop/aa368542(v=vs.85).aspx
and Product version, source of Install package and Errors if any.
Hope that helps!!
