  • 1.  SEP format is no longer supported by Windows Security Center?

I have an issue with my SEP v.11. It says "Symantec Endpoint Protection is on but is reporting to its status to Windows Security Center in a format that is no longer supported. Use the program's automatic updating feature, or contact the program manufacturer for an updated version." What can I do to fix this? I can't get ahold of Symantec and I've tried updating it.

    Thanks in advance.

Well Microsoft was going to release an updated windows security center with windows 7 that has a new reporting format. But they jumped the gun and released it early. We are planning to fix this issue with MR5 which will be available one month after windows 7 is released. If someone has the official date handy it would be great if you could post it. So the short answer is that you can't fix it (for now), but you are welcome to call in and make a case if you wish. You are not in "danger" or anything, it is just not supporting our reporting format anymore, so you will just see this annoying error message. It will be fixed soon though.

Cheers and sorry I couldn't give a better "answer" for you,
