Hello,

I have a problem.  I have 2 machines, that are eating DiskSpace like no tomorrow.  Currently indicating over 30,000 infected files+

The problem is the location of the files that are infected are in the following location:

"\documents and settings\all users\application data\symantec\symantec endpoint protection\xfer"

all the temp files in here are infected and spreading/reproducing like wildfire.

The quarantine folder is equally full, and there is too much in here to delete.  Formatting right now, not a viable option, unless absolutely necessary.

Closing my own thread.

I created an NFS share of the drive of the machine where the profile was located.

Mounted it to a Linux machine, less probability of infection.

Went to the correct directory where M$ explorer failed countless times and ran an:

"rm -rf *"

All cleared up and I have my 100 gigs back.  But whats the bug and why is eating at Symantec???

I guess when it pops later, I'll try to submit something to you Sym.
