    from the log

    CreateProcessAndWait( LUCHECK.EXE ) returned 206

    MSI (s) (00:C8) [09:35:55:300]: User policy value 'DisableRollback' is 0

    value=%USERPROFILE%\AppData\Roaming

    Install SEP client again.

    HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\User Shell Folders\AppData
    value=%APPDATA%

    I just has only.....

    HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\User Shell Folders\AppData

    frm the install log search for return value 3

    post 20 lines below and above of that.

    if you are installing on win7 or vista; make sure you have disabled UAC.

    run the install as admin

    remove liveupdate, remove all LU folders

    install LU from CD1

    then run the setup from SEP folder, lets see if it gets installed as unmanged. then we wil make it managed.

    Hi,

    Open the registry and navigate to

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\SessionManager and locate
    PendingFileRenameOperations and rename it to PendingFileRenameOperations2 and then try to install the product.

    LiveUpdate 3.4 (and 3.5) are for *Norton* (consumer) products only, and are not supported for use with SEP.  Do not install anything higher than 3.3.

    Hello,

    Symantec Endpoint Protection RU5 is a old version. So, Install SEP RU5?

    Try installing the Latest version on the machine i.e; SEP 11.0.6300

    About Maintaining Consistency of Software Versions throughout a SEP 11 Organization

    If incase, that does not work... try Manual Uninstall Procedure for the Symantec Endpoint Protection (that would surely help)

    Once, you have Worked ont he Manual uninstallation documents, you can try Installing SEP again.

       Due my SEPM is RU5 so I'm not sure SEPM RU5 can manage SEP RU6, but I'll try to install SEP RU6 on this issue.

    I'll update status later, thank you for your idea.

    any one have any idea, please tell me.

    Thank you all of you.

    The "problem" with an LUCHECK 206 error is that there's seemingly an endless number of reasons for it to happen.

    As such, I'd recommend opening a case with Support...we're going to need to gather logs and begin some logical troubleshooting to narrow down the scope of the issue.

    Hello,

    I agree with Chris.

    LiveUpdate 3.4 (and 3.5) are for *Norton* (consumer) products only, and are not supported for use with SEP.  Do not install anything higher than 3.3.

    It has been reminded again and again... Please Do not Recommend Symantec Endpoint Protection users to use Liveupdate 3.4 as it is not Supported.
