Endpoint Protection

Hi

We have recently installed SEP 11.04 on our Windows 2000 SP4 server which was previously using SAV.
The installation went okay however we now find that when we open the sql 2000 console we can expand most of the
functions however cannot expand the databases tab it just sits there and does not respond.

We have put in exceptions to exclude scanning sql db files and rebooted the server still no difference.
also noticed that trying to connect to the server using ODBC from another machine times out without connecting this
did not happen when SAV was installed, any ideas ??

did you install network threat protection (firewall) on this server? you may need to add exclusions for ports used by SQL. also installing NTP on servers is not recommended
